Looks best in Japanese

If you know your way around Wordpress and you have a design style that suits this site then we'd like to talk to you.  The typography and site structure features of Blogger just can't do what needs doing here.  More power to you if you can organize all of these pictures and words into something that makes sense.

So... if you think you or someone you know can do port this site over and make it look less repulsive than it currently does then please contact me.  dhsl@gascompany.com

New Kellogg Presentation Materials

For KPMB Architects proposal submission we produced various presentation materials including these covers.  The landscape cover is green iris cloth with matte black silk screened artwork, the inside liner is xerography.  The portrait cover is a GiclĂ©e print on Tyvek wrapped over 120pt Eska board.  We printed the laser cut tabs xerography on fluorescent green stock which we also used for the inside liner.  They won.

A whole bunch of new pictures of books

The images below are of books that we have done recently.

Bed creaks, Butterflies and BSS.   This small book was done for a Toronto independent school as an introduction for potential new students.  The book is printed process colours on 100lb Cougar text.  An overall 4% yellow floods the pages to give the appearance of a natureal white stock, allowing some portion of the illustrations to knock out and have a bright white appearance.  The book is smythe sewn with printed end papers and a half cloth wrap that is foil stamped silver.  The front cover is the same stock as the text and has an illustration of butterflies stamped in gloss foil.

Tim Scott catalogue.  This art catalogue is printed six colour.  Process inks plus a second black separation plus a fluorescent orange spot colour used in design elements.  The book is smythe sewn and casebound with a full litho wrapped cover.  The front cover and spine are stamped with a holographic silver foil.

Bryce Duffy Blue Earth.  This book was done as done as promotional piece for a photographer moving to a new city.  The book was shot on colour negative film and printed as 11" x 14" colour prints.  The Gas Company drum scanned, colour corrected, retouched, and proofed the images before running wet press proofs on Utopia One X 80lb text bright white stock.
