AGO/Emily Carr- Colour correction, Print Production
This book is an example of our post production, colour, retouching, and image enhancement services.
We produced Emily Carr, From the Forest to the Sea, a 304 page art catalogue for the Art Gallery of Ontario. We were supplied with image files from many sources ranging from professionally shot digital copy work, 25 year old colour transparencies, as well as low resolution and low quality shots taken under gallery lighting.
We worked with Curator/Author Sarah Milroy to perform corrections to tone and colour. Reviewing proofs and making changes to match originals, as well as close cutting items onto white and black.
The book was printed four colour on matte coated stock, smythe sewn and casebound to a cover wrapped in four colour printed uncoated stock with a blind deboss on the title.

Artist Book Binding Project
The Gas Company Inc. worked with Winnipeg/Toronto artist Paul Butler to bind 10 years of his daily to do notes into one massive volume.
Three of the years had already been bound into single volumes. We disassembled all existing bindery and rebound all pages. The text block is case wrapped with flourescent yellow end papers. The case and slip case are foil stamped with the project name.

The images and video below illustrate the beginning and progress of the project.
Preliminary and final 3D mock ups of the book.
